Thanks for bringing this up.
With the new CorelDRAW Graphics Suite June 2024 Update (released on June 18th), this has now been fixed. After you restart CorelDRAW following a system error and choose not to recover autobackup files, the backup copies of files are erased upon quitting the application, as intended.

I think this is the 2024 issue. Because I get feedbacks for same issue often from windows version of CorelDRAW
