Duplicate objects in version 2024 doesn't work the same as in older versions

When duplicating an object with CTRL+D, the new object is not automatically selected. Previous versions of CorelDraw allowed you to create multiple duplicates with the same spacing if you held down CRTL+D.

That tool made creating arrays extremely controlable and efficient. After making/placing the first object where spatiallly desired, all one had to do wad continue to tap ctrl D to fill in the array as desired. Using the new "Step and Repat " method is a nice addition BUT having BOTH as an optio would be super, super sweet. This is my first rough spot with Corel after 30+years of continuous platform use (Aside from the Corel CAD fiasco)

I relied upon this feature for many years to create engineering drawings and this is a MAJOR step backwards. My productivity has just sunk into oblivion. That was one of the BEST features Coreldraw had going for it. This was a feature that really helped separate CDR from the ilk of Adobe illustrator. Have been a continuous user since 1991 now I'm finally pissed off. Just wasted a boatload of time tring figure out what was wrong ...

I might create a complex object and then want ten duplicates to make a row: Ctrl+D repeatedly. Disabling this feature is maddening.
