Mapping - Using grids with the ability to set up automatic picture and data information inputs using grids and coding

I'm trying to prove there is a better way in my organisation to share pictorial information via mapping which has already been built in a grid formation. The maps I make identify fixed and moving worksites - but currently, I have to enter the data and specific of location of the worksites manually which takes days - it would be great if I could set up coding against the grid, Possibly Via an Excel spreadsheet Dump, which would automatically map the data entered. There are many large organisations which would want to utilise this for many reasons. I would be happy to work with Corel to look at ways this could be achieved on a very simplistic but highly detailed map.
