Creating gradients in rectangles is easy in Corel. Gradients on a curve are more difficult, but you can still use the Interactive Fill tool if the curve is simple. You just use the ellipse fill and get creative with positioning. I want to apply a gradient to an object (say a rectangle), and then warp that object using the Shape tool to edit the rectangle's nodes, but I want to have the gradient follow the curve as I change it. The Mesh tool kind of does this, but not well. It does not create a predictable mesh. So, if I turned a rectangle into a sine wave, the gradient would follow the sine wave.
