Being able to modify more than just the size and rotation of a symbol would be a great addition. Changing outline, fill, effects, perhaps font...
Like having a more robust "Clone" functionality, and with permanency - that is, a library with objects, from which clones can be generated (like with symbols), but where the "clones" can be changed in many attributes without losing their link, and that at any point can be reverted to the master, if needed.
I support this Idea, let me give an example;
Please Check the attachment, there is a pattern made from a symbol, on the background there's a rectangle with color. on the foreground there is a labeling area, a custom shape that has the same color with the background.
think that this is a product label, so I have i.e. 8 different colors from this template.
and lets say my boss wants to shorten the foreground shape.
this means I have to change every shape one by one, because it cannot be a symbol, because it has 8 different colors.
Basically Coreldraw does not allow me to keep a shape but change its colors in a symbol.
we know the feeling that repeating things is boring in any program, so I will make another suggestion.
Syncable Symbol Attributes.
It lets us create a shape to a symbol, but in the symbol panel, each Symbol Layer has it's own dropdown menu that displays Outline, Fill, Transparency, FX as an attribute, and each attribute has a button next to it that enables or disables Sync to duplicated symbols. this way, you can use the same symbol, but because you disabled the fill attribute, you can change the color of other identical symbols.
Example:
🔽SYMBOL
Fill: RGB 25,50,75 ...................... 🔁SYNC
Outline: CMYK 0,5,90,40............⏹️SYNC
Transparency: Multiply,%50...... 🔁SYNC
FX................................................ ⏹️SYNC
Corel Devs, I am experienced user and this is a HUGE timesaver for me, if you add this feature, it could be really great!
