Whenever a bitmap is traced, the objects have a tiny space between them. This does not occur for traced images in Adobe Illustrator.
This has never worked correctly and is one of the biggest reasons I refuse to upgrade from v. 2019.
with the object selected hit the plus key to place a copy exactly on top then group and presto.
