Almost every time you want to add a glyph, you want it to be from the same fontset you're currently using, but you still have to search for the font for whatever reason - it really should default to the font you're using, and you only have to manually change if you want a different one.
Yes, I agree with you. I'm using x5 version and 2023 version. In x5 the last used font is first suggested. I am from a Slavic speaking area and I often need this option for diacritical characters and always have to search for the currently used font.
I agree with you. Glyph list should indicate selected (or in editing) text object font.
