Working in production makes it necessary to safely open pdf/X-Files (ISO-Standard for print data exchange).
CorelDraw is currently not able to do so.
By safely, I mean without changing visual content. There are all kinds of problems arising. Wrong font kerning, curve direction (filled counters in letters), wobbly outlines of curve converted fonts, misinterpreted or left out raster images,...
The pdf import needs a rework!
...and as it is for now - Jan 2026 - the pdf import still does not work reliably. The devs concentrate on other things. I guess things, which are more promising to sell. That's the difference between a work horse an a toy. I reduced my license pool and startet to shift to another solution.
There has been some improvement in the last update but honestly, this is still far from ok.
From my perspective, it hasn't changed really, because it causes still the same costly problems.
No progress in sight for the near future.
