Improvements to the Text engine in CorelDRAW

CorelDRAW has decent text handling, but could greatly improve its business impact in the areas of editorial design with just a few badly needed enhancements to its word processing capabilities:

  1. Increased speed and smoothness of rendering on the screen when writing, editing and reformatting.

  2. Add functions enabling artificial intelligence to correct the problem of Widows and Orphans in the sentences of a paragraph, with the option "automatic" or "Manual" to be able to define how many minimum words must be at the beginning or at the end of the paragraph line.

  3. Add in the alignment options of the full justified spacing, the option of last line to the right, center and left.

  4. Numbering and bullet marks:

    1. Add the capabilities of numbered lists and bullet-marked lists to Artistic Texts.

    2. Create the value of predefined properties for "numbered lists" with which it will be possible to create different style labels for the texts.

    3. Add a new tab in the "Text" docker and "Properties" when having texts selected, which includes formatting options for numbered lists and bullet mark lists allowing more precise and intuitive control to assign numbering and bullet symbols in text lists:

      1. Add the ability to assign default values separately between numbered lists and bullet mark lists.

      2. Identify empty paragraph breaks without text so that you don't add any symbols or numbers in those paragraphs and continue only until text is added in a next paragraph.

Most important is speed for working with texts. Especially on windows CorelDRAW is slow working with text and native file i/o. But on macOS, CorelDRAW is faster than windows version when working with text.
