Corel has the ability to represent architectural plans very well, in addition to the "dimensions" tool, it would be interesting to be able to calculate the surface of certain areas.
That functionality actually exists as "Geometric Information" dialog in Corel DESIGNER in CorelDRAW Technical Suite.
CorelDRAW Technical Suite is the "technical edition" of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, with dedicated technical illustration tools in Corel DESIGNER (that application is fully based on CorelDRAW), and with 3D authoring tools and 3D-to-2D-illustration-conversion functionality in XVL Studio.
