When editing a symbol, CorelDRAW currently opens a separate editing window, which breaks the workflow and makes it hard to see how changes affect the overall design. I’d love to have an in-context symbol editing mode — allowing me to edit a symbol directly in the same window instead of being taken to a separate one while still seeing changes right away. It should show a live preview of all instances as I edit, making the process faster and more intuitive.
Convert your symbol into an object.
Once it's an object, use the focus tool to make the background transparent. (double clic on)
That way, you can work on your object live.
When you're done editing your object, just copy and paste it back into your symbol.
