Unfortunately, the layers function has been faulty since version 21. For this reason alone, I still use version 17. Locked layers cannot be made into master layers. Master layers can no longer be made into normal layers. Totally stupid.

As in illustrator, also have a selection tool by contact of the object.currently you have to use the [SHIFT] key and select the objects 1 by 1 or frame all of the objects

When generating dimensions you are given the option of offsetting the value: ABOVE, THROUGH, and BELOW the dimension. Perhaps adding features without breaking apart the dimension to relocated the value where its legible.
